Description

This course is designed to expose students to the basics of welding. It provides instruction and practice in welding using the SMAW (stick) and GMAW (wire feed) processes. Students weld on various thicknesses ranging from 14 gauge to 1/4-inch plate. Safety topics covered include welding safety, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper use of hand tools.
